Thank you to all teams that supported JDRF’s 17th Annual Cheer for the Cure! 75 teams with more than 1,000 talented athletes participated on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Conference & Events Center in Niagara Falls, NY. This event raised more than $33,000 to support JDRF’s efforts to find a cure for type one diabetes (T1D)! This would not be possible without teams, sponsors, volunteers, and spectators. Congratulations to all teams for terrific performances.

Since this event is sanctioned, all competitive New York state school cheerleading teams are allowed to participate. Participating schools are still eligible to compete in Buffalo, CCAA, ECIC, NFL & NO league competitions, as well as the Section VI competition & others.
PROCEEDS BENEFIT JDRF
Funds raised from the Cheer for the Cure event will support the JDRF’s research efforts to cure, treat & prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D). T1D is an autoimmune disease. It’s onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle, and there is no cure. But with your help, we will be closer to one! JDRF’s researchers are working on incredible projects like the Artificial Pancreas, Encapsulation, Smart Insulin, and other promising therapies!
