Team Highlight: OKC Oxford Kids for a Cure

in

This was the first walk for OKC Oxford Kids for a Cure. Mark Aldo, diagnosed in January 2013, is a son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend.  Mark has been a real champion and when his mom once told him that she would change places with him if she could he replied, “No, I don’t want anyone to have this. Will you help me raise money to find a cure?” The team got involved to help find a cure and found the walk to be very fun. In addition to sending out fundraising emails to friends and families, they did a “shake the can” outside of a local gas station. The team also held a Rock Out Now for a Cure at a local restaurant with a band and raffle prizes. They think everyone should get involved and support finding a cure because you never know when it will affect a child that you love. Team OKC Oxford Kids for a Cure raised $6,629 and counting this walk season. Thanks for all your support!
