Be one of the first teams to register for the 2014 Walk to Cure Diabetes at Hersheypark! The Hershey Walk is a whole month earlier this year, on September, 28th – so it’s important to get registered early to give your team time to fundraise!
The JDRF Walk is moving back to the Stadium at Hersheypark. We hope that the Walk will continue to grow, and in order to accommodate our growing number of teams and Walkers, we are moving the event back to the Stadium to have more space and a great, outdoor atmosphere!
Please visit the Hershey Walk page on our site for more details about the Hershey Walk, registration instructions, fundraising resources, and more!
The JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes is an impactful way to raise money for critically needed type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and show your support for the millions of people affected by this serious disease.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas loses the ability to produce insulin—a hormone essential to turn food into energy. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.
With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure. That’s why JDRF holds more than 200 Walks across the country every year to raise money for JDRF—the only global organization with a strategic research plan to end T1D.
The JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes has raised more than $1 billion through the hard work and generosity of supporters like you. Every dollar JDRF directs toward research comes from our donors. So, the more our walkers raise, the closer we get to reaching our goal of a world without T1D.
Thank you for your support of the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes! Together, we will turn Type One into Type None.
