Jeffrey Brewer on the FDA, Congress, and Promise

Our Promise Campaign Director, Amanda Russell, sent the email below last night to our advocates nationwide.

Please take a minute to check-out JDRF Advocate Pam Sagan’s testimony in front of Congress today on the need for the diabetes community to have better access to new technologies.  The hearing will actually start at 10am EDT.  Pam should be on around 10:30am EDT.  You can watch on the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s website.

Dear Michael,

Last week, we officially launched our Promise Campaign website. Telling our stories of living with
type 1 diabetes during Promise will serve as a critical link in our strategy to
communicate to the FDA the urgent need to take action in helping to move the
artificial pancreas project forward.

Today, another JDRF Advocate, Pam Sagan, will be telling her story of why the
diabetes community needs access to better technologies in front of a committee
in the House of Representatives. You can watch Pam’s testimony live starting at
10:30am EDT on the House Energy and Commerce Committee website.

Take a minute to watch our CEO, Jeffrey Brewer, talk about our
progress in working with the FDA, Pam’s testimony, and the importance of
participating in the Promise Campaign:
