This spring, 300 volunteers completed the JDRF Australia 2013 Jump to Cure Diabetes. The tandem sky-diving event, now in its third year, proves over and over again just how far our volunteers will go for JDRF—in this case, 10,000 feet above the ground. At the pinnacle of their free fall, divers reach speeds of up to 150 miles per hour, before parachuting down to cheering crowds of JDRF volunteers and staff.
And this year brought extra reason to cheer. The 2013 event raised nearly $400,000 for JDRF—almost twice what was raised in 2012.
