On April 25, 2012, JDRF UK held its first-ever Type 1 Parliament. The event, supported by Corporate Platinum Sponsor Sanofi, was a day of lobbying during which more than 60 delegates with type 1 diabetes (T1D) met with members of Parliament to help raise awareness about T1D and make the case for greater investment in research to cure, treat, and prevent the disease. Some of the delegates—children and adults chosen last fall from among more than 200 applicants—are pictured above in front of the Houses of Parliament.
