Cycle along with Novo Nordisk—the official national presenting sponsor of the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes.
A global healthcare company with 90 years of innovation and leadership in diabetes care, Novo Nordisk and its staff have supported the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes for nearly a decade. Now, CEO Lars Rebien Sørensen and President Jerzy Gruhn, both Ride participants, have announced that Novo Nordisk will provide a two-year $1 million commitment to the Ride—an incredible show of support for research for type 1 diabetes (T1D). Funds raised through Ride events will help advance life-changing therapies and ultimately a cure for T1D.
The JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes is a yearly destination cycling event that takes place in six beautiful locations across the United States. The Ride is not a race, but a charitable ride along a safe, supported course. JDRF assists Ride teams at every stage of training and fundraising. Corporate teams, such as Novo Nordisk’s, represent riders who wish to positively affect their workplaces and communities. In the course of getting ready for the event, many employees discover that they have a connection to someone with T1D. By participating in the Ride, they have an opportunity to touch the lives of those who are affected by the disease.
We are grateful for the sustained support of Novo Nordisk in their sponsorship of the Ride. On behalf of JDRF, we want to thank the company for bringing us closer to a world without T1D.
